Four Kinds of Working Modes: TEST MODE Test Mode was designed to check whether the sensor is working properly. Light turns on for only 5 seconds during at day or night once it detects motion. AUTO MODE Light automatically turns on for 1-10 mins when motion is activated in auto mode. Light works only at night in auto mode. ON-TIME MODE Light works as a LED light without motion sensing when in On-Time Mode. The light turns on when switch on, turns off when switch off. DUSK TO DAWN MODE The light turns on automatically at dusk or night and turns off at dawn or morning. Light only works at night in D2D Mode. Multiple Modes for Different Applications Compared with traditional motion sensor light for outdoor, it has more working modes. Not only owns Auto Mode but also includes Dusk to Dawn Mode and On-Time Mode. 4 different working modes will meet your needs. 1. Test Mode: The light turns on for only 5 seconds during daytime or night when in test mode. It helps you know whether the motion sensor is working well. 2. Auto Mode: When movement is detected in darkness, the light will turn on 1 to 10 minutes (depending on your setting on the “Time” knob); 3. On-Time Mode (controlled with on/off switch): The light turns on or off through the switch control. Light can work during daytime and night in on-time mode. 4. D2D (Dusk to Dawn) Mode: The light automatically turns on at dusk or night and stays off at daylight. Tips: The Lux knob is for brightness sensitivity, we recommend you set it in the halfway position. LUX Knobs Generally it's suggested to set the Lux in the middle position. For setting ambient brightness value to differ from daytime to night. If the ambient brightness value exceeds the setting Lux, it is defined as "daytime"; otherwise it's known as "nighttime". Position 0 equals 3 Lux, Position ∞ equals max Lux and it's always regard as night no matter how bright around the sensor. Lux setting only works in Auto Mode and D2D Mode. Time Knobs Time knob is used for setting working time from 1-10 minutes when it detects motion. Time setting only works in Auto Mode. Range Knobs Rotate the knob to adjust the sensing range to max ca. 50ft motion coverage. When you mount the light over 7.8ft, please adjust the sensor upwards and set max range to increase the coverage area. Time setting only works in Auto Mode. Range setting only works in Test Mode and Auto Mode. Attention Make sure that there are no infrared or ambient lights pointing towards the motion sensor. Make sure that there are no other influence factors affect the performance of light. Be sure to disconnect the power before you install the light. Be sure to mount it in dry location, humid environment is not good for light's lifespan.
